Biography

Carafino Braganza joins us with industrial experience in Fusion, Defence and Agritech. He received an MEng in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Liverpool and an MSc in Robotics from King's College London in 2017 and 2020, respectively.
 
He is currently a PhD student in the CryMaK Group (ITEP) and the Metallic Materials Department (IAM-AWP) at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in Karlsruhe, Germany.
 
His research interests include Application Driven Multi-Material Additive Manufacturing, Applied Machine Learning in Material Discovery, Cryogenics, Mathematical Optimisation, Engineering Design, Reduced Order/Dimension Simulation and Superconductivity.
