Biography

In 2009, I started my engineering studies (Ingeniería Civil) at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC) with a focus on electrical engineering.

At the same time, I carried out various practical projects. One example of this is the iSolar UC project: a 16 kW photovoltaic system that was developed, financed and installed by students. I also co-led the energy research section of the student research group Ingeniería Propone, whose work was published in a book . Finally, I worked as a student assistant in the PEClab (Power and Energy Conversion Laboratory) and contributed to a publication on Cascaded Multilevel Converters, among other things.

From 2015, I worked as a hardware developer at RT Electronics and then studied German up to level C1.1 (TestDaF 4×4).

In 2017, I continued my studies in the field of electrical engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), where I obtained my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in electrical engineering and information technology. During my master's degree, I chose to specialize in electrical drives and power electronics, with a focus on the design of electrical machines.
In my master's thesis at ITEP, I simulated an HTS induction/synchronous machine using the T-A formulation.

Research in the ITEP magnet group
My research focuses on the HTS induction/synchronous machine, which is investigated both theoretically and experimentally. The aim is to contribute to the theoretical understanding of these machines, to simulate different rotor topologies and to experimentally validate their electromagnetic properties in the laboratory.
