Biography
Diego A. Garfias-Dávalos received a B.Sc. at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), a M.Sc. at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), and a Ph.D. from SOKENDAI based at the National Institute for Fusion Science (NIFS). Beginning from Mechatronics and aspects of fusion science, his research has focused on applied superconductivity.
Currently a postdoctoral, he does research testing demountable joint concepts for high-current HTS cables, towards demountable HTS coils development for fusion magnets. His research interests also include HTS flux pumps and aerospace HTS applications.
