Research Field Superconducting and Cryomaterials
In the research field of superconducting and cryomaterials, classical low-temperature and high-temperature superconductors as well as new superconducting and cryomaterials are investigated and developed with respect to their potential for power and magnetic applications. This ranges from the understanding of current-carrying properties of superconductors, the characterization of mechanical and functional properties at low-temperatures to the development of high-current carrying wire and cable architectures and their manufacturing technologies.
