The group Superconducting Films works on develoing the following material classes:

  • Cuprat high-temperature Superconductors (HTS)
    • Optimizing the chemical solution deposition in a reel-to-reel process with regard to through-put, quality, and reproducibility
    • Preparation and characterization of CSD REBCO-based coated conductors with in situ and ex situ prepared nanoparticles
    • Preparation and characterization of superconducting joints between REBCO-based coated conductors
    • Static and dynamic behaviour of flux lines in different pinning landscapes
    • Current carrying capability and pinning properties of REBCO-based thin films and coated conductors at low temperatures and high magnetic fields
  • Fe-based superconductors
    • Electrical transport properties of Fe-based superconducting thin films
    • Thinnest Films of Fe-based superconductors for possible detector applications
  • MgB2 superconductor
    • Aerosol-depsited MgB2 films on metallic substrates
